BROKEN Hill City Council's sponsorship program will see almost $50,000 handed out to community groups to local groups and events.

The money is being provided to groups as part of a municipal push to maintain and increase visitation to the region through events and festivals that align with the objectives of the Broken Hill Community Strategic Plan and are of State or national significance.
