HAILING from the West Broken Hill Robins Football Club, Stuart Bown had already made his A Grade debut as a 15-year-old and played 49 games for the Broken Hill club.

Broken Hill was then in the Norwood zone and former Redleg Matthew Kelly, who was then the technical and development officer, enticed him to move to Adelaide.
