BROKEN Hill’s emergency department has now completed Stage 2 of the $12 million project, which includes reconfiguration of five treatment bays, staff spaces and clinical back-of-house areas to provide a more functional clinical workplace for staff and patients in need of emergency care.

Minister for Regional Health, Ryan Park, said the upgrades will see the ED become a first-class health facility.
