WITH stronger puppy breeding laws to be introduced across the state later this year, residents in the Far West region considering a pet are being urged to think of adopting from the Broken Hill pound rather than purchasing from a breeder.

Pound ranger Kevern Hobman said the facility had seen a lot of cattle dogs and puppies in recent months in need of rehoming.
