WILCANNIA’s Baaka Cultural Centre is almost ready to open to the public, with the board holding their very first meeting inside the complete buildings last month.

The centre on Reid Street is to house Baakantji art and culture, including both artefacts and modern art.

Architect Kaunitz Yeung Architecture, said the brief included a myriad of uses for the centre.
