MONASH University student Ida Lichtwark has been spending her holidays at Outback Astronomy in Broken Hill, learning about telescopes while observing the sun and stars.

A third year student of Astrophysics and Linguistics, she said she’s interested in stars and language and hopes to find a career that can allow her to continue to learn about both.
