THE newly-appointed boss of Broken Hill's troubled Perilya Mine says he is planning to put history aside in an effort to secure a sustainable future for employees and the town.

General manager Robert Walker is leading a full audit of the mine’s operations in the wake of an apparent attempted sabotage, operational concerns and an underground fire.
