OLD buildings in need of repair can get a new lease on life thanks to Broken Hill City Council's Heritage Grants scheme.

Owners of residential or commercial properties can apply for grants of up to $1500 and small loans of up to $3000 for verandah renewal or painting and minor restoration works.
