ON an unassuming residential corner of Piper Street in South Broken Hill, nearly 100 people gathered on Wednesday night for the bocce grand final of the season.

The games have occurred in the Napredak Bocce club room for almost 90 years, in what was originally called the Yugoslavia Club when it first opened in the mid 1930s.
